Heidi was here! She flew in on May 31 and had to return to Wichita on Tuesday. It was a short visit but Alison, Beth, Sarah and I enjoyed every minute we spent with her! We all had an amazing weekend together and managed to squeeze in lots of time with animals as well. Besides giving our pet rats – Sir Runs A Lot, Scaredy Rat and In and Out – their very first baths, on Sunday afternoon we spent time with a very special horse named Caper.
Caper is white (with cute brown spots) and much to my daughters’ delight does not mind being drawn on with washable markers! So my three daughters, and all of the adults there, took turns drawing all over his beautiful and bright, white coat. Here is a picture of Alison, Beth and Sarah standing beside Caper after we had all finished our artwork. Notice the words on his left butt cheek.
Please know that the placement of the words are by no means a play on words of “a horse’s ass”. Caper would later be wearing a saddle which would cover most drawings done anywhere but his rear area.
Here is a closeup of the wording:
Caper is great with children and a very patient horse. All those who wanted to ride him were given the chance. And then Caper got to do what he loves best – jump!!!! Proudly sporting Launch Me Ellen on his left butt cheek, Caper soared over this jump (see below) with ease, bringing our Launch Me Ellen campaign to new heights. Thanks to Caper and Jenn (the rider pictured in the jump), and Sam and Jess, for a great day!
